Marcie Smith is a lawyer, writer, and lecturer in economics at John Jay College. She received her J.D. from the North Carolina School of Law, and B.A. from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born and raised in Kentucky and is now making a home in Western Massachusetts, by way of North Carolina and New York City. She is married and the mother of one.
